This week in class, I had a great time creating my video using animoto.com. I didn't know it was so easy to create a video of pictures but this site helps to make it fun. It was easy to follow the instructions, and I was impressed by the end result. I think this would be fun for students to do in the classroom. My daughter is 9 and I think she is very capable of creating a video using animoto. This could be used in the classroom in many ways. Students could make a video of their families to share with the class. What a great way for others to get to know who each student is. It could also be good to create an end of the year video using pictures taken through out the year of the students. How much fun would that be??? My daughter and I are going to create a friend video for her to share with all her friends. I'm curious to see just how much she will be able to do on her own. I think she can do this. This is a site I would use in my classroom! We also learned how to create a questionaire using google. This site was easier for me. I enjoyed creating my questionaire and would use this site to create others for my class.

I love animoto also, I think its cute that you are going to teach your daughter to use it. And making an end of year video is an excellent idea, the students and parents would love that. I agree with you about the google forms, it is much more user friendly than the other one we learned about.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you about the Animoto Video website, that was awesome and fun!!! This was the best class assignment for me because it was so easy and again fun to do. I wish the other assignments were this easy!!! Besides being a useful tool for teachers the students will really enjoy this one. And it is great for families to use to. My favorite part was the music of choice.
I really enjoyed making the video with Animoto too. I had a lot of fun creating the video and I sure students would have fun with it too. I agree that the questionnaire made using Google Forms was so much easier then Zoho. Google has so many neat gadgets to play with.

ReplyDeleteAnimoto was such an amazing site. I totally agree that this would definitely liven up the classroom and be something the kids would enjoy and love to do. It would be such a cool lesson to start by making a Picasa Web Album and eventually put their pictures on a video. The reason I liked this program so much was because it connected to other sites so it was so easy to add your pictures. Programs like these are so wonderful because they are user friendly and all ages can enjoy the outcome!

ReplyDeleteI really love your idea of collecting pictures over the year. I especially like the idea of sharing them through Animoto at the end of class year. This an excellent way to learn how far students have progress with technology.
I'm really glad you are testing your knowledge from class with your daughter. Doing it this both your daughter and you are learning. Excellent!
