How can I use the tecnology I learned in the classroom?
Last night we learned about zoho. This is a site where we can create our own questionnaires. I had so much fun exploring the options. I think it could be a helpful tool in any classroom. Creating a questionnaire for students can be benefical to the students and the teachers. For example; My daughter had to do a science project. Every student had to sign up for what they might be interested in researching. My daughter signed up for volcanos but really didn't know exactly what she wanted to do. It would have been helpful if she had a questionaire to fill out with questions about science projest's and what interests each child. Creating a questionaire would also be helpful to the teachers and students on the first day of school. Filling out a questionaire about who each child is and what interests them, then switching with partners can be a good way to get to know one another. There are so many uses for this site, and it seems easy to do. Hopefully it can help me in the future.

Hi Shannon,
ReplyDeleteYes Zoho program is a different program and from all the blogs that I have read everyone likes it. And that is ok. Technology is what is here now and there are so many programs and it just is changing so much, that I can't keep up with it. And it will probably be a great tool for furture teachers and students. Like I said we have to find what works for us and that is a individual choice. I have to agree with all my classmates about the program does offer lots of images, photos, research, and even forms for students questionares as well as data for parents to view their child's performance in school.

Shannon,
ReplyDeleteYou and I are on the same wave length when it comes to ideas about the use of Zoho. I also thought back to my children's science fair projects (from 1st to 8th grade, ugh!), and thought Zoho sure would of come in handy for class and school surveys. Now as parents, we can share what we have learned with our children and help them make their projects, as well as our own professional looking and expedite the entire project in the process.
I agree that Zoho would be an excellent way to find out what students interests are. It could help the teacher at the beginning of the year and they could do it maybe a few times to see how they their interests have changed.
ReplyDeleteZoho will definetly make getting information about students easier. It would also be good for field trip permission slips, and taking surveys of the class. All of these new things that we are learning are going to help in the classroom so much, I'm excited to start using all these great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI loved your idea of using Zoho as a questionnaire and be able to apply it towards a science fair or any other project. It will not only help the teacher know what the student is wanting to learn or what is interesting to them but it also helps the students be able to answer questions much easily instead of just picking on students who raise their hand in class.
ReplyDeleteShannon,
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas about using a questionnaire before choosing a science project. Most times students do better on projects and research papers when they are interested in what they are doing it on. It would be great if teachers used the questionnaires and helped chose a project that would best suit them and their interests. Also, your idea of having your students fill a questionnaire out at the beginning of the school year is great and very enlightening for the teacher. Questionnaires could be such a great tool in deciding on how to grab your students attention; incorporating student interests into lesson plans will defiantly help getting students excited about learning.
I also like Zoho. I like your idea of students using Zoho to survey their fellow classmates. This would be a learning experience also and students obtaining ideas from each other.
